Is where I am right now.
Lucy and I are killing time before we gather in front of "Hotel Angara" and decide what we want to do on this lovely saturday night.
For some reason Papa Yuri got up at 6 AM. He didn't go to bed until at least 1. Then later he told me that he had a lot of newspapers. I didn't really know how to respond to that.
Here's the question: how long do we think I need in each city? St. Petersburg and Moscow? Yaroslavl would only be a couple of days. I'm trying to plan my winter. Thoughts? Advice?

Spend about three days in each city. You will then have at least a week to say goddbye to friends, children's home, etc. Just advice.
Hi Natalie,
I found your blog via facebook...ah facebook...
As a seasoned traveler in the former USSR, I have a few suggestions:
1. Are you taking the train? If so, stop in more cities other than Moscow and Piter.
2. By all means, go to Kazan.
3. Go to Ekaterinburg because they just lay to rest the mystery of Anastasia and she really died there. You should also go to the divide between Europe and Asia; I never made it, but wish I did.
4. Sleep on the train; you'll save money.
5. Remember: Piter is just another decaying Russian city!
Ok, if you have any more questions, let me know. I envy you realy. I miss Russia for some inexplicable reason.
Take care!
